week 11

October 20-24, 2014
Saying our Gratitude
My Accomplishments
This week, I reached my goal last week which is finishing my 30 lessons and I did. I also was able to say goodbye and say thanks to my students and critic teacher.
My Significant Experiences
In this journey at Baguio City National High School, I am glad that I was able to grow and develop my skills in teaching though it wasn't actually an excellent performance but happy I was to be there. An experience which cannot be discarded and should not be forgotten since it was a big part that molded us in our teaching development.
This week was our last week at BCNHS so for some was a sad feeling for them to leave because they had good times and don’t want to end it, but for me was happy feeling because I enjoyed my stay there. I don’t want to be sad because I know that because of them, I will become a better person when I sail to our next destination.
Before we left BCNHS, we did good things that for me were one of the best experiences that I had there. Aside from giving a fruitful token to our own critic teachers and saying emotional goodbyes to our students, we have serenaded each faculty in BCNHS including the principal’s office of course. Teachers were all happy when we did that so that what made me happy about it.
My Insights
I thought that I would not be able to finish my lessons and that my students will not miss me when I say goodbye to them. But I think I was wrong because aside from finishing my lessons, my students shared good things about me and the things that they think I must improve.
Problems
Now the problem is most of my student’s comment was about my voice which is soft and not that loud.
Solution
I thought my voice was loud when I am speaking but then it wasn't actually that good so I think I must improve it by practicing to have a well-modulated voice so that when we will be deployed in the private school, I will have lesser problems.
My Goals for Next Week
My goal for next week is to be prepared whoever my critic teacher and students are.
